This delicious cup gives intense fruit, black cherry and spice in our Union roast. The fragrance from the ground coffee has a richly layered fruit with peach, and a creamy milk chocolate aroma. The sweetness is caramel with vanilla. Slight aniseed and cardamom.

Produced in the Guji area of Sidamo; an intense coffee and highly fruited. Unlike the unwashed Yirgacheffe, only red, ripe cherries are selectively picked for this special preparation lot.  The drying imparts a sweet bright acidity. The overall cup has a reminiscence of dark cherry with mascarpone. This unwashed special selection involves harvesting ripe cherry, rapidly drying on raised beds and then sorting the coffee after it is milled. This differs from other dry-processed Ethiopia coffees which are often picked randomly towards the end of the crop, mixing good coffee with not-so-good. The result is that this coffee has a cleaner cup, less earthy and without musty flavours found in unwashed Sidamo coffees. This delicious cup gives intense fruit, black cherry and spice in our Union medium roast. The fragrance from the grounds has peach and a creamy milk chocolate aroma. The sweetness is vanilla with flavour nuances of cardamom. Espresso from this roast produces a bright shot with a really long, long aftertaste.
