Costa Rica La Puente Tarrazu micromill
From Rodolfo Rivera, La Cuesta
Tarrazù, Santa Cruz de León Cortés
It’s a very nice cup that shows a caramel and butter in the dry fragrance. The wet aroma yields a fair amount of vanilla and sweet lemon notes. The cup is a good representation of a honey-process coffee from the silky body and mouthfeel. The syrup sweetness layers above toasted almond. Cocoa notes give length to the finish.

Puenta Ecologico micro mill is a collective of 6 brothers from the Rivera family. They started in Santa Cruz de León Cortés five years ago in response to the coffee crisis as a way to command control of their own destiny and add value to their coffee by processing it themselves. The Rivera families take great care with their picking to select the perfect ripe cherries to be processed in their Penagas micro mill.
Their parchment coffee is 100% sun-dried and they craft state of the art, honey coffee to produce micro-lots. Their coffee was a finalist in CoE 2008.
