All our coffees are of exceptional quality and are hand roasted in our London Roastery.
We pack our ready ground coffees in special heat sealed bags flushed with inert nitrogen gas, to protect each coffee's quality and fine flavours. However, as roasted coffee is perishable, we do recommend that it is drunk within the best before date found on each pack in the retail range.
Our hand packed, 227g whole bean and ground to order coffees are best enjoyed within four months of purchase, even when stored in a freezer.
We are the official licensed UK distributor for Numi tea. As distributors, we cannot be held responsible for the ingredients of these products, should you have a complaint about them.
However, if the integrity of the packaging or the product itself has been compromised in anyway, we will investigate and come to a swift resolution on your behalf.
We aim to despatch all orders within two to five working days. During peak mail order periods (for instance, Christmas season), this timeframe may be extended slightly, although every effort will be made to despatch your order as soon as possible.
The Union Hand-Roasted online shop can only accept orders from within the United Kingdom, with a valid postcode. Due to high postage costs, this does not include Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Orkney and Shetland Islands. However, Union Hand-Roasted is very happy to take orders from these destinations and elsewhere over the phone. Please call the Roastery on +44 20 7474 8990 and we will happily take your order. Alternatively, note your order in the ‘contact us’ feedback form, together with your contact details, and someone will contact you with a despatch price.
Please note that due to bio-terrorism legislation introduced in the United States of America following September 11, it is no longer commercially viable for us to ship mail order coffees to this country. Please accept our apologies.
Where goods are unavailable, or out of stock, Union Hand-Roasted will advise customers appropriately through the online shop.
Orders under 1.5kg net weight are charged £5 and sent via Royal Mail first class post. Orders over this weight are charged £6.35 and sent via our secure, signed for delivery service. Both charges take into account postage and packing material costs.
Our online shop has a minimum transaction value of £7.50, excluding postage and packing.
If you are unsatisfied with the contents of your despatch you must contact us, either by telephone or email within 24 hours of receipt to inform us of your issue.
Union Hand-Roasted does not refund or exchange coffees, teas etc. if ordered incorrectly through our website.
Prices are charged according to those published on the site on the day of purchase. Union Hand-Roasted reserves the right to alter prices to reflect changes in material costs.
As our coffees are a food item, they are not VAT-chargeable.
Union Hand-Roasted enters into medium to long-term agreements with coffee farmers and producers. However, due to seasonal variations, some of our coffees may not be available or, for reasons out of our control, we may no longer be able to source coffees from a given farm, co-operative or origin.
In these instances, we may choose to work with another producer from that origin, or, if we feel we cannot source a coffee of sufficient quality, not source from that origin at all.
We cannot accept payments made by cheque online.
