The Hunapu has a hint of citric acidity upfront leading to white grapes notes and tannins mid-palate and a sweet and lingering Mirabelle plum finish. The whole gustative experience is underlined with subtle toffee notes which bring depth and balance to this very light and fruity cup.

The Antigua valley in Guatemala is one of the most famous coffee growing regions in the world. From this area, the Zelaya family have produced an exquisite coffee for us from their beneficio Bella Vista. These coffee cherries were selected from just six small-scale farmers, who grow 100% bourbon varietal coffee, each on two hectares of land. The post-harvest processing of the coffee cherries from these producers is undertaken at Bella Vista beneficio (mill) who we’re been working with for many years. Here their coffee is processed in the traditional method; first de-skinned by pulping, followed by fermentation to remove pulpy mucilage and then washed. The parchment coffee is sun dried on cement patios. After passing through high technology colour sorting system to ensure only perfect coffee is selected, the coffee then undergoes a special final hand-sorting selection by skilled women workers before export. Antigua sits in a valley surrounded by three volcanoes: Agua, Fuego and Acatenango. This special preparation coffee refers to the original name of Volcano Agua, “Hunapu" which means "Mountain of Flowers".
This volcano erupted in the 16th century and damaged the city of Antigua, which was the former colonial capital of Guatemala.
The cup is medium to full-bodied; delicious fragrance of peach jam and the cup has soft tartness of vthick cut marmalade, with aftertaste of vanilla and sweet milk chocolate.
